Global Birding is a venture formed in 2020 by Tim Appleton MBE that aims to inspire birdwatchers to come together as a global community and celebrate birds, by participating in birdwatching, birdwatching events, citizen science and conservation.

Birds Unite Our World
Global Birding is the brainchild of Tim Appleton MBE, co-founder of the first and biggest Birdfair which he ran for 31 years.
Prior to creating and managing Rutland Water Nature Reserve, he worked for Sir Peter Scott at the world famous Slimbridge Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. He reintroduced Ospreys as a breeding bird to England in 1996

With a life long career in conservation and management, his ethos is to bring people together, inspire them and help global conservation. Tim is available for consultancy for projects where his expertise may be of help eg. Eco tourism promotion for Tourist Boards, Wetlands sites development, nature reserve creation and management as well as Birdfairs. Please contact us for further information
